Our company lies close to the largest Slovenian producer of high-grade steels, SIJ Metal Ravne. The quality and tradition are two major factors which are high on our scale of importance. Therefore the major part of our production program is made from their quality steel. The second steel producer that supplies us with its products is the renowned Austrian company Böhler Int. Our goals are long-run targets. Therefore we make sure that our customers continuously receive high quality and short delivery terms. Steels from above steel producers are certified with testing regulations. We guarantee traceability and transparency of input material throughout the whole production process.

The company Valant d.o.o. is focused on machining of steels. Therefore our machine park is adjusted to the following processes:
- cutting ( 3x band saw mills)
- turning ( 7x CNC turning lathes)
- milling ( 9x CNC milling machines)
- drilling ( 2x drilling centers)
- grinding ( 2x surface grinding machines)
All processes are made on calibrated machines, with strict in-process control of products.

Heat treatment is one of the most important operations in the production of recycling tools. All heat treatment processes in our company are certified with a computer printout for each process, from the beginning till the end. Traceability of processes is ensured for several years after production is finished. We offer products with single, double and triple tempering. Lately, the cryogenic Cool-Plus treatment has become very popular as it prolongs product life. We also offer case-hardening, nitriding and other treatments for surface hardening of products which guarantee a higher wear resistance. All processes are certified and confirmed with computer printouts of tested hardness.

High quality and durability of products are, in addition to accurate deliveries, in the center of our attention. Already when input materials enter our facilities, strong emphasis is laid on identity of input material with INSPECTION REGULATIONS, as required by standard for the production and inspection of steels. Each accepted material comes in with a Certificate of Conformance issued by its supplier. Steels are then separately marked with heat numbers to ensure traceability throughout the whole process of production. We apply in-process inspection for all operations. Dimensions are checked by calibrated measuring instruments and the ZOLLER Smile 400 measuring machine.
